As a photographer in southeast Missouri, one of the things I hear all of the time is: "I need new family photos, but it's just TOO HOT outside to do them." I get that. It's humid, full-of-bugs, and just straight up sticky outside from July through September! But I urge you, don't be scared by the summer months if you're wanting to update your family photos on your walls.
One thing I strive to do as your photographer is to keep things short and sweet -- that means minimal time in the heat and humidity! You may think that 20 minutes sounds so short for a photo session, but I guarantee that that is all most families need for an outdoor session! I love a beautiful mix of posing and candid photos, so you will stay moving throughout your session. Time will fly by as you're guided through a smooth flow of poses. Your child that usually hates standing and cheesing for a photo? I'll give them prompts and tasks so that they stay busy and having fun! Your spouse that would rather trim a 4000 acre field with scissors than stand through another family session? I'll keep the session quick and easy, and it'll be finished before they can realize that any time has passed at all!
Summer sessions are so beautiful -- don't be scared off of them! Just look at that beautiful lush, green grass and the bright, vibrant colors! Contact me today if you'd like to book your session before the golden summer days have passed!
